Description

BT Controller helps when you want to play emulator games on a TV, tablet, or another phone without extra hardware. It lets your device act as a wireless controller for Android emulators that accept custom buttons. After a simple setup between two devices, you can focus on play without juggling cables. For convenience, installing the BT Controller APK gives you a direct way to try different controller layouts and see what fits your games.
Key features in BT ControllerWireless connections over Bluetooth or WiFiBT Controller connects to the device running your Android emulator through Bluetooth or WiFi. You choose the option that fits your space, then select the Host from the in‑app lists to start controlling. This flexibility helps you play across rooms or on the couch with fewer cables.Designed for Android emulators with keyboard inputBT Controller sends keyboard-style inputs to Android apps that support custom buttons and keyboard controls. It does not operate physical consoles and may not work with games that ignore external input. As a result, some titles that rely on touch-only control will not respond to mapped buttons.Custom layouts and a large community libraryYou can build your own control layouts to match each emulator or game. BT Controller also offers access to a large library of user-made designs, so you can search and download setups that mirror classic console pads. This makes swapping between genres and systems more efficient.Local multiplayer for up to four playersBT Controller supports up to four devices connected to the same Host. Each player can load or create their own layout and map controls separately in the emulator. This setup works well for couch co-op sessions on a TV or shared tablet.Quick setup with keyboard integrationAfter connecting, BT Controller uses a custom keyboard input method to deliver button presses to the Host. You enable the BT Controller Keyboard in system settings, then map buttons inside your emulator. The app requests location permission for Bluetooth scanning, which is required by Android policy for discovering nearby devices.
What BT Controller can and cannot do Works with Android emulators and Android games that accept keyboard controls and custom button mapping. Does not control physical consoles or console hardware. May not work in games that ignore external inputs, including some MOBA titles and touch-only games. Designed for Android devices only and focuses on Android-to-Android control scenarios.
Permissions and connectivity notesLocation permission is requested for Bluetooth scanning because Android requires it to find nearby devices during pairing. For Bluetooth, ensure both devices have Bluetooth enabled before selecting the Host from the list. For WiFi, connect both devices to the same network and confirm the Host is running so it appears in the discovery list.
Troubleshooting tips for BT Controller If button presses do not register in a specific game, check whether the game supports keyboard input. Some genres, such as certain MOBAs, only use touch and will not respond to mapped keys. If the Host does not appear in the Bluetooth or WiFi list, refresh the list, verify Host mode is active, and confirm both devices share the same connection type. For Bluetooth, re-pair if needed. For WiFi, confirm both devices are on the same network. To reduce latency, keep devices close together, minimize obstacles, and prefer a stable WiFi network. On dual-band routers, a 5 GHz network often provides lower delay than 2.4 GHz. For multiplayer, connect each device one at a time and assign unique mappings inside the emulator to avoid conflicts. For quick setup references, watch the official tutorials: Bluetooth setup video and WiFi setup video.
Getting started with BT ControllerUse this short guide to connect your devices and start playing. After you download BT Controller, the process below helps you complete setup in a few minutes. Install BT Controller on both Android devices and open the app on each. Decide which device will run your emulator and which will be your controller. On the device that runs the emulator, open BT Controller and start Host mode. Keep the screen on and stay inside the app so the controller can discover it. On your controller device, choose Bluetooth or WiFi in BT Controller. When prompted on Bluetooth, allow location permission for scanning, then select the Host from the list and connect. Follow the in‑app prompt to enable the BT Controller Keyboard in your system's input settings. Switch the active input method to BT Controller inside the app once it is enabled. Open your Android emulator on the Host and map each button from your chosen layout to the emulator's controls. Test the inputs, then repeat the connection process for additional players if needed.
